Position Summary

We are looking for a full-time social media manager to administer our social media accounts, create engaging content and handle social advertising initiatives. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, writing blog content, creating and managing a monthly social calendar, creation of all social media posts and responding to followers. This position will also require familiarity with Facebook advertising and management.

As a social media specialist, you should be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views in a creative manner and in our brand voice.

Status:Full-Time (M-F, 8am to 5pm, 1hr lunch)
Compensation:Salary – Based upon experience and skill level

Position Requirements

  • Copywriting background (has had experience writing blog content and social posts)

  • Superb spelling and grammar skills

  • Knowledge of social media management tools (Hubspot, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc)

  • Experience managing social media accounts for mid-size to larger organizations

  • Experience with WordPress content management

  • Experience writing and optimizing web pages (title/meta description/keyword optimization)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Basic SEO knowledge

  • Implement social media strategy to help align with business goals

  • Ability to manage and create monthly social media and blog promotion calendar

  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure everything stays on brand

  • Is a self-starter and able to take initiative on all projects

  • Communicate with followers and respond to queries in a timely fashion

  • Experience with community management

  • Create simple branded social media graphics using a tool, such as Canva

  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness such as promotions and other initiatives
