Frequently Asked Questions About the 2019 Home Care Benchmarking Study

The 2019 Home Care Benchmarking Study marks the 10th anniversary of the Study—and it’s bringing some changes with it. 

For ten years, the Home Care Benchmarking Study has provided data and direction to home care agencies across the United States. Now, with the 10th anniversary, we’re splitting this edition into a Spring Edition and a Fall Edition to bring you more data and help you apply the data to drive growth. Here’s what you need to know.

When are the two editions being released?

The Spring Edition will be released the first week of May while the Fall Edition will be released the first week of September.

Which sections are included in each edition?

The Spring Edition will include Recruitment/Retention, Finance, Client Experience, and Best of Home Care. The Fall Edition will include Sales/Marketing, Operations, Technology, and an updated Best of Home Care section.

Why this change?

This year, we’re adding more data as well as a significant amount of other resources to help you apply the data. Staggering the releases spreads out the time and resources required to pull it all together, allows us more opportunities to share relevant data throughout the year, and gives more options for purchasing the Study.

What new data and resources are being added this year?

We’re adding a new section on Technology, expanding the data on Recruitment/Retention, and adding new data points and questions to several other sections. Each section will also have a webinar and a free online guide providing help on how to leverage the data to make decisions.

Does this change how the annual survey is administered?

No. We’ll still gather the bulk of the data through a single survey, which will be open March 1^st.

What are the benefits of participating in the survey?

Can I purchase the two editions separately?

The two editions can be purchased individually or as a bundle.

When will the 2019 Home Care Benchmarking Study be available?

Pre-orders begin February 1st and end April 30th. The Spring Edition of the 2019 Home Care Benchmarking Study will be available for download and start shipping starting in May 2019 and the Fall Edition will be released on September 1st.
