As we near the end of yet another year, I can’t help but be grateful for the significant growth I’ve witnessed in the home care industry. The type of growth I am referring to is the improvement home care owners are making to raise the quality of home care they provide. As I’ve attended conferences throughout the year, I’ve enjoyed conversations with providers at various stages in their progress of improving client satisfaction and caregiver retention. Some have been frustrated not knowing what to do, while others have shared their successes through using Home Care Pulse. And, I’ve certainly learned from many of you about strategies you are implementing in your individual businesses. I’m grateful for the support the Home Care Pulse team provides as we work together to raise the standard of care for the industry, positively affecting the lives of millions for the better.
It’s wonderful to see so many home care providers embrace Best of Home Care® Awards as a key part of their culture. Just this past month I’ve noticed many of you set yourselves apart by using the awards to shine a spotlight on your business both locally and nationally through press releases, community events, tradeshows and other creative sources. This is really exciting to see. It would take several pages to highlight many of these successes I’ve witnessed recently but here are but a few that I would like to mention:
Celebrating 5 Years
Visiting Angels of Port Orchard franchise owners Rob and Merilyn Oswald were recently highlighted in their local Vashon-Maury Island Beachcomber news website for their achievements which include: 1) 5 years of earning both Employer of Choice and Provider of Choice from Best of Home Care, 2) with becoming a Leader in Excellence award-winner this year, and 3) receiving the South Kitsap Business Excellence Award from the Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce. It’s great to see their excellence being recognized in their community.
Messages of Reassurance
Brightstar Care of San Luis Obispo shared a press release letting the public know they use a third-party satisfaction management company to ensure their clients and caregivers are satisfied. They didn’t just tell their clients and caregivers they are using Home Care Pulse to improve, they told their community.
Recognition for Receiving Awards
In Saratoga, CA, the City Council recently recognized 11 businesses for excellence. Help and Care founder, Vassilina Breitbach, was presented a certificate and recognized for having earned both the Employer of Choice and Provider of Choice awards.
Annual Leadership Conference
At this year’s Annual HCAOA conference, home care owners who’ve earned Best of Home Care’s Leader in Excellence award were recognized on the stage.
Reviews and Awards
Caring.com credited our review integration with their website in enabling 500 home care agencies to proactively increase their online reputations. These reviews are an integral part of their own Caring Stars recognition program, Caring Stars.
We have other new partnerships we’re excited to be announcing early on in 2018 that will provide added benefits to those home care agencies who are being recognized for their successes with Best of home care and increase where they can post reviews from clients and caregivers.
The recognition these Best of Home Care award winners are receiving within and outside of the industry has been great to witness as it’s grown over the years. I’m both moved and honored to see so many home care providers achieving greater excellence by earning the Best of Home Care awards.
