Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of IT, the QA Engineer Intern tests and evaluates in-house and third-party software to ensure compliance with organizational standards and requirements. The intern assists in creating test cases and test suites and sometimes executes manual and automated test cases against web, database, and client software applications.

Should be detail oriented and have excellent planning and analytical thinking skills.
Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks:

Creates tests to ensure software meets user needs.

Executes test cases under varying circumstances

Documents and evaluates test results

Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches

Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors

Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts

Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
Job Qualifications/ Skill Requirements:
-
Minimum 1 year of QA testing experience

Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing desired

High attention to detail and solid analytical skills

Proficient in test management software
-
Good working knowledge of programming languages

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
-
Performs work under direct supervision.

Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
