Course Syllabus

This program provides an overview of the pathophysiology and assessment of the most common types of advanced lung disease managed in home care.

Objectives:
Match physiologic changes to symptoms in advanced lung disease.
Analyze patient scenarios and indicate whether patients are eligible for hospice due to
their advanced lung disease.
Match common symptoms seen in patients with advanced lung disease to the appropriate pharmacologic/non-pharmacologic measures appropriate to relieve the symptom.
