For individuals with all types of cardiovascular disease, food and beverage choices can help or hinder an elder's overall health. Through online lessons, recipe videos, and a knowledge check, caregivers will learn best practices for:

Identifying diseases that can benefit from a heart-smart diet.
Minimizing adverse health effects through thoughtful food and beverage choices.
Identifying key nutrients and recommended servings for cardiovascular health.
Serving food that tastes great while controlling sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar.
Educating elders on food choices and offering encouragement to improve vitality and longevity.
