A review of medical terminology for caregivers and why using it is beneficial to the team.

Objectives:

Discuss the benefits of using medical terminology.
Name at least one basic rule of medical terminology.
Define at least three medical terms from each of the following body areas:1) the eyes, ears, and nose2) the heart, lungs, and blood vessels3) the skin, muscle, and bones4) the digestive system5) the urinary system6) the reproductive systemDemonstrate knowledge of medical terminology in communication with co-workers and written documentation.
