Managing Bleeding at End-of-Life

This course provides hospice clinicians with the knowledge needed to manage bleeding at end of life. The learning module includes information on prevalence and risk factors, standards for managing massive bleeding, and care plan development. Patient scenarios are included to aid learning and provide the opportunity to practice new skills.

List the six bleeding risk factor classifications.
Match appropriate clinician interventions to each of the three care standards for hemorrhage management.
Identify key elements for each of the three components of hemorrhage management.
Select evidence-based interventions to create a care plan for a patient identified as high-risk for end-of-life hemorrhage.
