This course covers the basics of urinary diversions, including common vocabulary associated with diversions and what kind of urinary diversions are most often used. All clinicians will develop a detailed understanding of urinary diversions such as chronic foley catheters, urostomies, and other devices and their corresponding supplies and be better equipped to teach using our tips on How to Manage Urinary Diversions for Patients. Clinicians will also learn how to use our Common Tips for Addressing Mental and Emotional Needs Related to Urinary Diversions in order to care for the patient as a whole.
