Laura Shaw-deBruin | Executive Director

For the past five years, Laura has been Executive Director at Norwood Seniors Network, which  provides community-based services to more than 500 clients, and is part of a Norwood Crossing, a facility that offers assisted living, memory care and skilled care. The network provides caregiving, transportation, home- delivered meals, life alerts, social outings and adult daycare, geriatric care management. Laura has more than 25 years of experience working with community based care and housing specifically for seniors. She was president of a Chicago-based independent home care agency for 13 years, and there she played a major role in boosting corporate revenue, client referrals and improved operational performance. She has been a national board member for the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) , member of  various community boards and organizations. She is a cabinet member of Leading Age of Illinois. Laura is involved with the local chapter of HCAOA.

Rachel Gartner | CEO & Professional Recruiter

Rachel is an Army wife, data nerd, and mother of two adorable kids. She has a M.S. in Biomedical Science that greatly influenced Carework’s data-first culture. She founded Carework in 2018 when she was working as a caregiver recruiter for several offices and realized there was a better, more efficient way to excel at caregiver recruiting. Rachel loves caregiver recruiting and would happily talk to you about your metrics all day long, if she doesn’t get interrupted by one of her children first! She currently resides in Statesboro, GA and enjoys working from her lovely back porch.
