On April 4, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced a proposed rule, updating the 2024 Skilled Nursing Facility Quality Report Program, impacting short-stay discharge surveys.

Between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024, over 12,000 skilled nursing facilities will take part in an initial data submission period to meet requirements of the SNF QRP for the first half of 2026.
