Understanding conscious and unconscious bias is the gateway to creating an inclusive healthcare setting—but first, we need to be able to identify our own biases, and create a safe space to openly communicate, learn, and grow.
Our team of nurse educators at HCP has put together a sample course specifically designed to help healthcare professionals explore the meaning of unconscious and conscious bias and examine how they may be inadvertently responding.
